SeatGeek Joins With Leicester Tigers to Launch New Ticketing Experience to Premiership Rugby

Tigers to use SeatGeek’s primary ticketing software, SeatGeek Enterprise, to revamp the club’s online buying experience and deliver powerful back-office solutions

NEW YORK, NY (May 1, 2018) — SeatGeek has teamed up with England’s most successful rugby union club Leicester Tigers to power the club’s ticketing system during next season’s 2018/19 Gallagher Premiership Rugby season.

Tigers fans will benefit from a new and improved online ticketing experience that unifies the club’s range of products, which includes ticketing, membership, corporate hospitality and season ticket payment plan solutions.

The system also allows for greater flexibility and clarity when selling tickets through SeatGeek’s SRO software platform.

Phil Everitt, MIS & projects manager at Leicester Tigers, said: “At Leicester Tigers, we strive to be a world-class club both on and off the pitch. The SeatGeek Enterprise technology will deliver a top-of-the-line experience for our fans, and we look forward to implementing a range of automated processes in our back office which will drive efficiency and deliver excellent reporting capabilities.”

Leicester Tigers will join a growing number of UK-based sports clubs that utlise SeatGeek as a primary ticketing provider, including Manchester City Football Club, Leicester City Football Club, Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, Derby County Football Club and Aston Villa Football Club.

The New York-based company has seen strong momentum around the world in recent months, having recently announced partnerships with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints, and the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans.

“Leicester Tigers are one of the most successful rugby clubs in the country and have a rich history and a fantastic fan base,” said SeatGeek UK Sport Managing Director Peter Joyce. “It has been a pleasure to deal with the club’s executive team during this process of review, and we look forward to working together to deliver a first-class ticketing experience to the club and the supporters when we launch later in the year.”

SeatGeek is the leading mobile-focused ticket platform that enables fans to buy and sell tickets for sports, concert, and theatre events. SeatGeek Enterprise – the company’s primary ticketing platform – is used by 25 percent of Premier League Football clubs and 16 percent of Premiership Rugby clubs, as well as the Dallas Cowboys, and the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans. In total SeatGeek Enterprise has more than 500 clients across four different continents.
