FA Cup Semi-Finalists Score with SeatGeek

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion work with SeatGeek to deliver flawless Ticket Sales process for showcase FA Cup Semi-Finals at Wembley stadium over the weekend of Sat 6th and Sun 7th April

LONDON, UK (April 5, 2019) — Reaching Wembley for an FA Cup Semi-Final is a special event for any club, and with the clamour for tickets high, it is a major consideration for each team to plan the ticket sales process to ensure the supporters receive the best customer experience possible. Working with SeatGeek’s powerful SeatGeek Enterprise Ticketing platform (SRO), Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion immediately saw the benefits of utilising SeatGeek’s platform to sell the Wembley event, ensuring supporters were able to navigate quickly and easily through the sales process.

Key to the decision for the clubs to work with SeatGeek for the Wembley Semi-Finals follows on from a proven track record with similar high-volume events over the past 12 months including Aston Villa’s Play-Off Final at Wembley in May 2018, where the club sold their near 40,000 allocation using SeatGeek’s SRO platform, with 85% of those tickets sold online.

SeatGeek Sport’s Managing Director Peter Joyce said “I am absolutely delighted with the fan reaction that has been posted across our client’s messages boards and twitter feeds with regards the experience they have enjoyed when purchasing their tickets. The sale of FA Cup Semi-Final tickets always generates lots of excitement and a surge in activity across our client sites. Our approach to building the Wembley Stadium plan to include seat selection means fans can pick and choose their Blocks and Seats as well as allocate seats alongside their Friends and Family groups that already exist in their club ticketing database. We have worked closely with all of our clubs and planned carefully to ensure we collectively deliver a really seamless process for fans”.

Brighton & Hove Albion who have reached Wembley in the FA Cup for the first time since the 1983 Final, have had a really positive experience with the Semi-Final sales and fan’s feedback.

Jenny Gower, Head of Ticketing & Supporter Services at Brighton & Hove Albion said, “Reaching Wembley is one of the most significant events in our club’s recent history, and we had to have the utmost confidence in SeatGeek’s SRO platform to ensure a seamless ticketing experience for our fans. We worked closely with SeatGeek’s staff and ultimately, the levels of our fans feedback which was overwhelmingly positive, underlines a job well done in delivering an excellent experience in very demanding circumstances”.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are enjoying a superb first season back in the Premier League have doubled up with an excellent FA Cup run that has taken them to the Semi-Final showpiece at Wembley. James Davies, Head of Ticketing at Wolverhampton Wanderers commented, “We knew that the demand for this fixture was going to be huge and I’m delighted to say the sales process we devised using the SeatGeek SRO platform went exactly to plan. To receive such positive fan feedback through the club’s various social channels, on what can be a tricky fixture to manage has been particularly pleasing and we are all hoping for a return trip to the capital in May.”
